RIV-VEN. From riven: destroyed, torn apart, shattered
RIV-VEN’s story as an artist has yet to unfold. In fact, it begins right here.
He will soon be releasing his first, 10-track album, Rewind, Delete. Electronic, electro, ambient, dark, synthpop elements and a retro touch, shaped by sounds and stuctures that take it into untagged territory.
A solo artist who began life in London and ended up in Madrid, he started to play the piano at age 6, wrote and performed music throughout his childhood and teenage years and took a music degree. But then years of silence followed.
Just recently, he felt a compelling need to break that silence and capture pain that he has felt and that he sees in the world around him in words, combining them with music that is powerful, energetic, uplifting and atmospheric.
Influences reach back to groups like Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears, pass through German dance and dark electronic sounds from the early 2000s and even a hint of classical music.
The result is potent, danceable catharsis, each track a unique rollercoaster ride of strong basslines and drums, striking melodies and an unusual ‘beyond the grave’ vocal.

La historia de RIV-VEN como artista aún está por desarrollarse. De hecho, empieza aquí mismo.
Pronto lanzará su primer álbum de 10 temas, Rewind, Delete  (Rebobina, Elimina). Electrónica, electro, ambiente, elementos de synthpop oscuro y un toque retro, moldeados por sonidos y estructuras que lo llevan a un territorio todavía sin etiquetar. 
​Un artista que trabaja solo, empezó su vida en Londres y terminó viviendo en Madrid, comenzó a tocar el piano a los 6 años, componía e interpretaba música durante su infancia y adolescencia, y se licenció en música. Pero después, pasaron años de silencio.
Hace poco, sintió una necesidad apremiante de romper ese silencio y plasmar el dolor que ha sentido y que ve en el mundo que le rodea en palabras, combinándolas con música poderosa, enérgica, estimulante y atmosférica.
Sus influencias se remontan a grupos como Depeche Mode y Tears for Fears, pasando por sonidos de baile alemán y electrónica oscura de principios de los años 2000 e incluso un toque de música clásica.
El resultado es una catarsis potente y bailable, cada tema es una montaña rusa única de líneas de bajo y percusión contundentes, melodías impactantes y una voz inusual ‘de ultratumba’.
